AL HARAH UK THEATRE TALK: A VOICE FOR THEATRE AND CULTURE IN PALESTINE

Join us in welcoming Marina Barham, General Director of Al Harah Theater in Bethlehem Palestine to Omnibus Theatre as part of as part of their Al-Harah Theatre UK Tour: A Voice for Theatre and Culture in Palestine.

Marina brings over two decades of cultural experience and a voice from the theater and performing arts sector in Palestine. She will be discussing the organisation’s powerful story and impactful work through Al Harah Theater and its work in the West Bank.

This talk forms part of a wider tour where Marina will speak in venues across the UK about the current situation in Palestine and the role of theater in helping children, young people and the community overcome trauma. She hopes it will provide an opportunity for UK audiences to hear firsthand from a Palestinian activist in the cultural sector and for the establishment of new partnerships and collaborations.

About Marina Barham

Marina Barham is co-founder and General Director of Al-Harah Theater and has been an active cultural operator in Palestine, the Middle East and Europe since 1998. She was President of the Palestinian Performing Arts Network from 2019-2021, a Board member and Global Connector 2021 of the International Network for Contemporary Performing Arts (IETM) and a Fellow of ISPA & Salzburg Global Seminar.
