ORANGES AND ORANGES
Presented by Sondertide Productions
It’s another weekly meeting of the ‘Oranges and Lemons’ dementia care group and it’s not just those with dementia who are trying desperately to hold onto their sanity. Jo struggles to maintain agency over her own life whilst her mum’s Alzheimer’s reveals a side of her that Jo’s never seen before. Can Jo meet her mum afresh and perhaps even enjoy a relationship with her at last? Overly-enthusiastic group-leader Rosemary gets increasingly exasperated by group members whose personalities just won’t fit into her plans and Kathleen discovers that even dementia won’t erase the memory she wishes so desperately to forget. As we learn to accept and even rejoice in the world of Dementia we begin to question what’s real and what really matters.
ORANGES AND ORANGES is the first ever stage play to be commissioned by Alzheimer’s Research UK. Directed by Owen Calvert-Lyons and in partnership with Ovalhouse, Shoreditch Town Hall, Omnibus Theatre and Soho Theatre, Sondertide Productions are developing a two act play for anyone whose life has ever or will ever be touched by dementia.

Set against the backdrop of the world events from the 1990s to now, as the years go by Shutters explores love, lesbian spaces and the songs about our lives.
SELF(ish) LOVE
By Tommasco Giacomin
An exasperated exploration of the ‘self-love’ phenomenon, the cultish religion of our time. Self(ish) Love navigates the movement’s foundations & core values to determine what it really means to love yourself in the age of veganism, carbon-offsetting & turmeric lattes. Our character will enter this tiny box where only kind and self-empowering words are allowed, where Oprah and Jesus, wearing cucumber and turmeric face masks, tell you to just keep LIVING because you’re beautiful #nomatterwhattheysay
