The Omnibus workshops are a sounding board for writers at all stages of development, a space for work in progress and a launch pad for new ideas.
Saffron Myers (Paines Plough, Hampstead Theatre) and Mike Carter (The Space, London Playwriting Lab, South London Writers’ Group) return to the Omnibus this summer to help develop more plays and support more new writing.
The six sessions will take place on Monday evenings 7-9pm June 4th to July 9th 2018 at Clapham’s Omnibus Theatre,
Are you working on a play or looking for inspiration with the next one? The Omnibus Writers’ Group has been devised to support writers with new work. Whether you are established or just starting out, we can help you focus, get your ideas on paper and move forward with your drafts. Six weekly sessions, led by Saffron and Mike, take place on Monday evenings at the Omnibus Theatre, Old Town Clapham.
Over the sessions, you will be given a series of exercises tailored to your goals and tried and tested tools to develop your skills. You will have the chance to work with professional actors too see your words come to life. You will benefit from mentoring throughout and a one to one session on a completed draft, once you’ve finished. We also work hard to ensure the Writer’s Group is a positive, welcoming and enthusiastic environment in which writers can share their experiences with each other.
