FUZION FOUR

Fuzion Four return with a treat for London jazz fans.

Chilled lunchtime jazz, Latin and classical music with Fuzion Four.

Fuzion Four plays unique arrangements of jazz standards, Latin music, and light classical pieces. Their unusual line-up of saxophone (Ollie), cello (Erica), piano (Bob) and cahon and percussion (James) lends itself to a fusion of musical genres. So for example their music ranges from Gershwin to Bach, from Pachelbel to Miles Davis, and from Faure to Dave Brubeck. Fuzion performs at local festivals, arts venues, weddings, garden gigs and private functions and one of their live filmed performances ‘Fuzion Four at Wandsworth Fringe Festival’ can be found on YouTube. Their on-line EP is available on Soundcloud.

In terms of band line-up Erica Simpson (cello) is a professional cellist who plays regularly with the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Bath Philharmonia and the English National Ballet Philharmonic, amongst others. Ollie Haffenden plays saxophone in other groups including the 7Suns Afro-Latin funk group, James Grant is an experienced drummer and percussion player, and Bob Broad plays piano in the Morley Big Band. Fuzion Four has evolved organically from previous Fuzion duo and trio line-ups.

This performance will take place with a live audience at Omnibus Theatre.
