HOW TO DO IT

PRESENTED BY LISA GORNICK
A unique performance with real-time live drawing about intimacy. A comic, poignant journey to warmth and excitement.

How To Do It, is a one hour show about sex, intimacy and creativity using real-time projected drawing, speech and music. A show for everyone to explore thoughts, experiences and drawings on connection.

How do we connect with each other in the big city? How do we get back into relationships? How do we reconnect with ourselves too?

Through personal stories and live drawing, Lisa plots her explorations into intimacy, building towards the presentation of a new guide that moves away from goals and power to exciting warmth, advocating care and creativity alongside the erotic. Comic but meaningful, using the empty page and embracing it as metaphor for how we approach each other.

The show draws connections between drawing and sex. Both can heal, both offer spaces to create and explore, make mistakes and start again.

After the show, all the drawings created during the performance will be available for £10. The accompanying guidebook, How To Do It, will be on sale for £15 in the cafe where Lisa will sign copies. In the corridor leading to the theatre, you’ll find more artwork to browse and buy at accessible prices – pieces created during the making of both book and show.

Book your ticket to the show before the 15th June and receive a free art gift. Simply email box office with your ticket confirmation and pick up your free piece after the show.
