CREATIVE CODING: the state of the [digital ocean]

PRESENTED BY STATE OF THE [ART]
Part of HOW TO ENJOY [THE CITY]

If you’re looking to re-vamp your website, or just want to learn more about creative coding you’re in safe hands with Gabrielle Ngoo.

Session 1: The first session is an introduction to Java Script, the most commonly used programming language in the world. In particular P5.js which is specifically designed as a great way for artists to learn to code.

Session 2: Ever wondered how creative web pages are interactive or how to make things move in the background? The second session is all about creating a portfolio webpage to host the work from session one and experiment.

Session 3: If you’ve ever been on a website and hovered over an icon something cool happens, that is what Gabrielle will help you do. You can guarantee this will take your page to the next level.

Session 4: To round up the creative coding sessions you will be learning how to make a basic 3D website. The software you will be introduced to is used to create 3D, AR and VR experiences and characters for 3D web games.
This is a more advanced session but made simple.

Gabrielle Ngoo is a multidisciplinary artist based in London. She specializes in web and visual design, currently working on a personal project BASIC, involving providing a space for artist to gain basic web design skills. She also explores 3D web design and coding performative spaces for interactive experiences.

This event will take place live at Omnibus Theatre.

We are so excited to welcome you back through our doors.

We are committed to safely staging a programme of work while we are able. We understand that booking tickets for live events right now feels like a bit of a gamble.
