Method in my Madness is a bold reimagining of Shakespeare’s Hamlet, told entirely from the perspective of the Danish Prince.
Through a delicate blend of clowning, illusions and enthralling physicality, Blythe’s stripped-to-the-nerve retelling turns an unflinching spotlight on the madness at the heart of the play. The show first premiered in 2024 at the Assembly Roxy as part of the Edinburgh Fringe and has recently played at the Adelaide Fringe festival in Australia. Performed by Sam Blythe (The Great Christmas Feast, Animal Farm) Co-directed by multi-award winning comedian Elf Lyons (Horses, Raven), based on an adaptation by Andrew Cowie.
