Four black women give dynamic, comedic and thought-provoking monologues of their experience wearing their natural hair amid a society that favours the European standard of beauty.

They take us through their battle with self acceptance and struggles they’ve faced embracing their natural beauty in a style of dance, music and poetry.

In one room, 3 women recall the details of their past sexual encounters. Each unpacking their own trauma are trying to heal and seek value within themselves. Yet sometimes, not in the healthiest way possible. These women take us on a journey through the use of poetry and monologue reveal their desire to be seen as both a whole woman and sexual. As they try to figure out why their bodies have been used as props at the consumption of men.
