Omnibus Writers' Group

Mondays | 7-9 pm | 21 Jan - 18 Mar | £180

The Omnibus writers’ workshops are a sounding board for writers at all stages of development, a space for work in progress and a launch pad for new ideas.

Saffron Myers (Paines Plough, Hampstead Theatre) and Mike Carter (The Space, London Playwriting Lab, South London Writers’ Group) return to the Omnibus in 2019 to help develop more plays and support more new writing. Whether you are established or just starting out, we can help you focus, get your ideas on paper and move forward with your drafts. Eight weekly sessions, led by Saffron and Mike, take place on Monday evenings, 7-9pm between January 21st and March 18th.

Over the sessions, you will be given a series of exercises tailored to your goals and tried and tested tools to develop your skills. You will have the chance to work with professional actors too see your words come to life. You will benefit from mentoring throughout and a one to one session on a completed draft, once you’ve finished. We also work hard to ensure the Writer’s Group is a positive, welcoming and enthusiastic environment in which writers can share their experiences with each other.

Comments from previous programmes include;

“thanks to Saffron and Mike for weaving the stuff of dreams for us”

“thanks for all your support, advice, humour and for providing a creative safe space”

“thanks Mike and Saffron for the feedback, encouragement and support”
