Robert is a school leader who has worked in education in deprived inner city areas in the UK and overseas for fourteen years. Robert currently facilitates an award-winning partnership of seven schools in Clapham, setting up both shared targeted support and leading shared school improvement. Robert has been a class teacher, early years leader and senior school leader. Robert has been designated by the Department for Education as a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) and supports other school leaders across South London.

Outside of work, Robert has been education consultant working for charities in Rwanda, Nigeria, South Africa and Vanuatu. Robert has been a Trustee and Company Director of two successful charities, including a medium size health charity and a large housing charity and Robert currently Chairs the Scrutiny Committee for Notting Hill Housing, one of London’s largest housing providers.

Robert was born in Clapham and is happy to have returned to Clapham as a resident, since 2010. Robert runs a very active mixed tenure residents’ association with his neighbours.
