THE ST MATTHEW PASSION: REIMAGINED

PRESENTED BY COLLECTIVE31
Original electroacoustic compositions fuse with traditional choral music for this innovative rendition of a classic.

A unique musical event that fuses together traditional choral and contemporary electroacoustic music, creating an innovative interpretation of a classic.

With a tasteful orchestral and choral performance, this concert will celebrate the timeless music of Bach whilst offering premieres of contemporary works – a seamless combination of old and new.

Six newly commissioned works, each based on the original score, will be interspersed within a delightful performance of The St. Matthew Passion, performed by Recordare Choir and Orchestra.

This performance is presented by Collective31, a contemporary music and arts organisation, who put on a range of artistic events, from music concerts to art exhibitions, around the UK. They showcase new and exciting work, bringing together an array of different arts to create original and inspiring events. With a focus on modern work, Collective31 aims to make today’s contemporary arts accessible to everyone through productions and outreach work.

This performance will take place with a live audience at Omnibus Theatre.
