Between clearing plates and working on her stand-up career, Dolly’s never really thought that much about the criminal justice system. Until one day when she’s attacked on her way home from work and she places her trust in the system to catch the man who did it.
She soon finds out she can’t trust the system at all.
Darkly funny, gripping and uncompromising, this powerful one-woman play blends razor-sharp comedy with devastating truth. Weaving fiction with fact, it exposes the gap between the promise of the justice system and what women actually get from it.
Urgent and timely, Dolly’s story asks what happens to women in the absence of justice?
