Each month The Pretend Company bring together three of the funniest, most theatrical improvised shows in the UK for a night of unscripted theatre. 

With no scripts, and no pre-planning, the actors will create scenes and shows based on what you – the audience – want to see!  

The Pretend Company are a London-based theatre company specialising in unscripted and improvised work. 

Their team of international improvisers have wowed audiences all over the world, starred in Olivier Award winning shows, and are committed to bringing the best of the world’s improv to London stages.

Object of Affection

Love is the common feeling binding all living creatures on earth. But what if objects could fall in love, have their hearts broken or live happily ever after? Maybe a pencil and an eraser could have a future? Or perhaps true love is out of reach for a tea kettle and a chocolate biscuit?

In this duo show, we follow the impossible love story between two objects or animals. Will they succeed to see beyond their differences? Will they be accepted in their lover’s family? Will love win overall?

Featuring Laura & Gael Doorneweerd-Perry from Flock Theatre in Amsterdam.

THF take us into worlds where characters and relationships tick to a different clock. All very real, but something is slightly off-kilter. Sometimes funny, sometimes poignant or moving, THF reveal the inner workings of these different worlds, finding the light in the dark and the dark in the light.
