SEPT STORYTELLERS:

Ben McIlroy

Ben is a storyteller based in Luxembourg.

He has made a bucket load of mistakes in life, which seem to have resulted in some entertaining stories - he is still trying to work out why people listen to him, but whilst unable to find an answer, he is eternally grateful!

Ben has been lucky enough to perform with various story shows around Europe including The bEAR in Berlin, The Moth in London, the Dublin Story Slam, and has been a host and performer for BARE in Luxembourg, he is also the host of the new storytelling podcast, The Story Diner which launches in October.

Iona Murray

Iona grew up in Scotland and has called London home for the past four years. She loves travelling, discovering new places and cultures, and is always happy to make a trip about the food.  After years of practising, Iona recently completed her yoga teacher training and is excited to share her love of yoga with others.

Akshay Gajria 

Akshay is a London-based storyteller, writer and writing coach and holds an MA in Creative Writing from Birkbeck, University of London. His written work appears in Fabled Planet, Skulls, Tamarind Literary Magazine, Human Parts and more. The opening pages of his novel was longlisted for the Faber Action! Prize in April 2026. He is also a regional producer for The Moth in London and tells personal stories live on stage with The Moth, True Story London and others. He’s leads Storytelling Programs with various organisations around the world and is the founder of Your Story LABs that creates safe spaces where people can craft true stories from their lives to tell on stage or for the page.

Stacey Carr 

Stacey is the Head of Inclusion and Skills at the Donmar where she spearheads inclusion efforts on and off stage, manages staff professional development and training, and runs their CATALYST talent development programme for emerging theatre designers and aspiring theatre administrators. Driven by a mission to make the arts and entertainment sectors more representative, inclusive, and accessible, she leverages her transatlantic expertise to bridge gaps for underrepresented voices and also works as an independent creative consultant, speaker and coach. Previously, Stacey held Unscripted television executive roles at companies like Nickelodeon, Endemol Shine North America, and OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network in Los Angeles. Originally from Reno, NV, she received a Sociology degree from Occidental College in 2004.

Hannah Woodhouse

Hannah is a 63 year old sculptor, lamp designer/maker and mother of 3.  She studied French and Italian at Bristol university.  Her  first career was in fashion, working first with Valentino in Italy, then John Galliano in London.  When Hannah and her husband William decided they wanted to start a family she realised she had to switch careers - the fashion circus with constant travel between NY, Rome and Paris did not look like the kind of motherhood she wanted.  She then worked part time for a few years whilst studying sculpture and bronze casting at Central St Martins. Hannah launched herself as a designer/maker of sculptural bronze floor and table lamps which she successfully sold through interior designers and auction houses. Hannah and her husband now run their small lighting business from their home in Stockwell, selling a collection of sculptural plaster wall lights called Art Wall Lights. Whilst raising  3 children they spent a wild 10 years in rural France and came back to live in London just after Brexit.  Ouch, bad timing!  The beauty of their business is that they can do it from pretty much anywhere.

Cameron Walker

Cameron is a royal correspondent, journalist and presenter.  He grew up in Warwickshire and trained as a child actor with Playbox Theatre Company for more than a decade.   After studying Broadcast Journalism in Nottingham, he spent a year in the Channel Islands as an ITV News trainee.  He moved to London in 2019 and now calls Clapham home. Cameron sings tenor with Clapham Community Choir and enjoys exploring the area’s bars and restaurants.
