Poet Michael Glover will compere a Christmassy evening of poetry, music, song and theatre in the Omnibus Common Room to celebrate the publication of Thirst, his new book of poetry.
Poems to be read will include a tribute to the magnificently indolent sheep of Achill Island. Others, read by Michael Glover himself, will be intertwined with the mysterious music of Anton Webern.
Performers will include Morgan Hayes on the piano, who will be performing a variety of music from the little known Wexford Carol to Chopin and Webern; poet Martyn Crucefix, who will be reading poems on a Christmas theme, to Kate Paul and Paul Hodgson.
And, most unnerving of all, Jesse Dupre of Haste Theatre will be injecting her own brand of unnerving and anarchic comedy into the proceedings…
