Front of House Manager

Omnibus are seeking to recruit a personable and proactive Front of House Manager (daytime) to work as part of the Omnibus team. The successful candidate would be expected to lead and manage the day to day front of house workings of a busy producing and receiving theatre.

The ideal candidate will be interested in venue management and customer service and have a high level of organisational and interpersonal skills. They will also need to be able to present and articulate themselves well to a range of clients through mediums including email, phone and face to face.

Omnibus Young Company Lead Facilitator

Responsible to: Young People and Participation Coordinator

Employment period: From September 2019

Fee: £23 per hour

Hours of work: Saturdays 9.00am to 1.00pm during Lambeth term times

About the role
Omnibus Theatre is seeking an experienced and committed Applied Drama facilitator to develop and lead our Saturday Youth Theatre for ages 5 to 16 years.

Young Company members are encouraged to use theatre and the arts to build confidence and develop skills in an inclusive, safe and fun environment.

Person Specification

– Degree level qualifications in Applied Theatre or equivalent experience of at least 3 years
– At least two years’ experience of theatre facilitation
– Experience of facilitating for diverse groups of young people ages 5 – 15, including vulnerable young people
– Enthusiasm for, and experience of participant centred pedagogical approaches
– An enthusiastic manner, with the ability to inspire and connect with young people
– Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
– Understanding and experience of working within safeguarding frameworks
– A fully enhanced DBS check
– Experience of evaluation strategies.

Queens of Sheba | Company Stage Manager

About the role
The multi-award winning show Queens of Sheba is going on tour and Nouveau Riché and Omnibus Theatre are looking for their Company Stage Manager.

We are actively looking for female, black stage managers. Alongside this we acknowledge our responsibilities for other equal opportunities.

About the show
Turned away from a nightclub for being “too black”, four women take to the stage with their own explosive true stories. The music and the misogyny, the dancing and the drinking, the women and the (white) men. Loosely based on the DSRKT nightspot incident of 2015, Queens of Sheba tells the hilarious, moving and uplifting stories of four passionate Black Women battling everyday misogynoir – where sexism meets racism.

Contract Dates
20 September – 29 November 2019

A day rate of £80.50. On tour an additional accommodation allowance of £40pd plus a meal allowance of £25.20pd will apply.
