Technical Duty Manager

Omnibus are seeking to recruit a personable and proactive Technical / Duty Manager to operate and manage all elements of the technical department and duty manage events for the front of house team on shifts where no technician is required. This dual role is full time (37 hours) per week working on a varying shift pattern which involves evenings and weekends.

Omnibus is a theatre housed in a converted Victorian library overlooking Clapham Common, London SW4. The building is home to a 90-seat studio theatre, a café/bar and two performance and rehearsal spaces which host a diverse and high quality programme of work. The successful candidate would be expected to manage the logistical, regulatory and maintenance requirements of a busy receiving and producing house as well as overseeing the general technical operations of the venue.

They will also cover duty management shifts for evening and weekend events as well as some daytime hours to facilitate logistical planning and training.

For this role we are looking for a strong and dedicated team player with leadership qualities who has a high level of attention to detail, wide ranging technical knowledge and a passion for delivering customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will have experience within an arts environment.

Salary: £10 per hour or £19,240 p/a (based on a 37 hour week)

Omnibus Young Company Assistant Practitioner

Main Purpose of the role

Omnibus Theatre are seeking to recruit a passionate and approachable Assistant Practitioner to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of our Young Company workshops.

About Omnibus Young Company

Omnibus Young Company is our Saturday morning group for local young people aged between 5 and 16. Working towards an annual production in our theatre every March, members learn about diverse theatre techniques including directing, technical design and script writing.

Our members are encouraged to develop creativity, confidence and teamwork. With each new term, members explore different social issues through different theatrical genres and forms.

Call times are 8.30am – 1.30pm every Saturday during Lambeth term time.

Rate of pay

The rate is £7.83 an hour (rising to £8.21 in April 2019)
