Woyzeck
November 2013
In November 2013, Omnibus launched its inaugural artistic season with Woyzeck, an original centenary production of Georg Büchner’s seminal play. Sold-out performances, critical acclaim, and nominations for off-West End awards set the marker our ever-expanding program of innovative, high quality work.
Macbeth
November 2014
Omnibus’ second in-house production was a site-specific immersive show which opened on Clapham Common in the heart of winter, drawing audiences into the strange world of the Witches.
Colour
October 2015
Colour was a free interactive performance for early-years that fused poetry and science to support language development. Conceived in partnership with development psychologist Courtenay Norbury, the production brought Christina Rossetti’s poem ‘Colour’ to life with vibrant sights, sounds, smells and textures
Mule

August and November 2016; May 2017 tour
Inspired by the events of the Peru Two, Mule explores the murky, hedonistic network of drug smuggling and it’s apparent femaleisation. Award-winning playwright Kat Woods explores the complex roles of victimhood, media spin and personal tragedy in this flawless two-hander.

Victoria Willing’s dark comedy about war, lost boys and fighting for survival transformed our studio theatre into the best Bed & Breakfast on the Somme. The production garnered widespread critical acclaim and a nomination for Victoria Willing at The Stage Debut Awards 2017 for Best Writer.
The Little Prince

Our magical adaptation of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s childhood classic was one of Time Out’s Best 2019 Christmas Shows For Families. This “joyously sparkling interplanetary journey” was a huge hit with critics and audiences alike.

A young giraffe is sent as a gift from the Pasha of Egypt to the King of France, but Paris is very far away. This brand new adaptation of Dianne Hofmeyr’s much-loved children’s book is told using beautiful hand-made puppets and an original musical score that brings you along Zeraffa’s epic journey across land and sea.

The multi-award winning “theatrical firework” (The Independent) went on national tour. Turned away from a nightclub for being “too black”, four women take to the stage with their own explosive true stories. Winner! Best Performance Piece, Off West End Awards 2020.

In March 2020 acclaimed Irish actor and writer Eugene O’Hare sent Omnibus Theatre a message of support in the wake of our first lockdown closure, generously proposing that he rally a bunch of UK theatre’s top acting talents to support our theatre, when the day came that we were able to open our doors again.
Exactly one year later, with reopening around the corner, Eugene made good on his promise and brought us two new punchy and provocative pieces of work. Larry Devlin Wants to Talk to You About Something That Happened, originally intended to premiere as part of the Barbican’s cancelled Ghost Light series, and Child 786 kicked off our first full theatre season in over a year.
