MEMBERSHIPS

Becoming a member is a fantastic way of showing your support for Omnibus Theatre.

Omnibus Theatre was opened on the 14th November 2013, following a seven-year community-led campaign to save the old Clapham Library from developers. Our much-loved Victorian building was transformed by locals into an arts hub, maintaining the heritage of the library as a civic space for all.

Since 1889, the legacy of the Omnibus building has always been to serve the community by being an open space for local people to use for leisure and to experience culture. As a theatre, we continue this practice by offering performances, space and opportunities for a diverse range of people to express themselves freely and creatively.

OUR VISION

Omnibus Theatre reimagines the world with fearless, bold theatre that challenges perceptions, entertains, and inspires change.

OUR MISSION

  • To create a home for our community to play, learn, dream, and imagine.
  • To champion and support diverse story tellers.
  • To nurture new talent to develop skills and thrive.
  • To offer affordable and accessible theatre to all

As a registered charity, with no core funding, we rely solely on ticket sales, hires, and the support of our members and donors. We would not be able to do the work we do without you.

Our membership schemes are project-based, focusing on learning & participation, artist development, and building & restoration; the support you give us helps us to keep our creative community thriving.

LEARNING & PARTICIPATION MEMBERSHIPS

Support our Learning & Participation department and help us continue to deliver vital programmes such as ROUTES, and support young people to fulfil their potential

ARTIST DEVELOPMENT MEMBERSHIPS

Our artists play a vital role at Omnibus Theatre. Without them we would have no work to stage.

It’s now harder than ever for artists to secure funding. Fringe Theatres provide vital access, support and space for emerging artists, but these venues, like ours, often receive very little or no funding limiting access into the industry for emerging artists.

161 funding organisations have closed since the pandemic.

With your support, we’ll be able to continue our legacy of telling new stories and reimagining worlds. Your money will allow us to grow our artist development programmes such as Omni-Wright and Engine Room, we’ll be able to offer bursary places to writers who otherwise would not be able to afford these schemes, and we can continue to champion underrepresented and marginalised voices.

BUILDING AND RESTORATION MEMBERSHIPS

Help us to keep our creative home thriving.

Omnibus Theatre was opened on the 14th November 2013, following a seven-year community-led campaign to save the old Clapham Library from developers. Our much-loved Victorian building was transformed by locals into an arts hub, maintaining the heritage of the library as a civic space for all.

Maintaining  and developing this building costs money and as a registered charity that receives no core funding, we rely on your support to help us to do that.
