About Blood Wedding’s chosen charity SDCAS
This local charity, founded in 1997, provides vital support to asylum seekers and refugees and has helped to preserve and rebuild the shattered lives of so many people who have faced poverty and distress. The three centres, based in South London, enable their clients to build social networks, reducing isolation and encouraging them to speak out – key themes in the Blood Wedding adaptation.
A number of the Blood Wedding team will be holding a workshop at one of the centres, working with and reaching out to SDCAS clients and facilitating their experience of theatre.
