BOOK LAUNCH WITH INTI PRESS

PRESENTED BY OUT OF THE WINGS
Part of Out of the Wings Winter Warmer, a week long digital celebration of theatre in translation.

Do you love foreign theatre, translation and books hot off the press? If so, don’t miss the Out of the Wings Book Launch with Inti Press on Wednesday 24th February!

Join us to celebrate the inaugural Out of the Wings book series featuring five plays and a set of monologues in translation. From Brazil, Chile, Cuba, Peru, Portugal and Spain, this eclectic series offers a taste of some of the incredible plays in the Out of the Wings festival archive.

This special evening will begin with a discussion between Catherine Boyle, director of Out of the Wings and Louise Curtin, founder of Inti Press, a new publisher of literature in translation. The translators will then take the stage to showcase the new publications.

Guest speaker, Cuban author Abilio Estévez, will reflect on the journey from one world to another (in translation), from one format to another (from experience and dreams) to the page (through translation) to a digital format – and the immense satisfaction to still be able to recognize yourself and the work you’ve done through the prisms of others.

We hope you will join us to toast this unique ‘stage to page’ project and discover more about Out of the Wings and publishing in translation.

For more information on the publications and how to purchase them, please visit www.intipress.com.

This event will take place via Zoom. All ticket holders will receive a Zoom invitation to the email address they book with one day prior to the event. Places are limited so snap up a spot while you can!
