Pushing the boundaries of the traditional song recital format, Soprano/composer Héloïse Werner and pianist Natalie Burch perform Benjamin Britten’s Les Illuminations and new works.
The programme features Britten’s Les Illuminations alongside two new works by Héloïse and composer Jonathan Woolgar, written in direct response to the Britten, both its musical material as well as the poetry and its wider social context.
