Longlisted for the Bruntwood Prize 2022, this dark comedy follows a struggling actor trying to liberate herself and break through gender stereotypes by playing a punk Virgin Mary on stage.

In her bid to be bold, this lapsed Catholic questions the labels bestowed by religion and society. Not to mention her disapproving mother.

Will speaking her truth lead to her redemption? Or will she fall into yet another large Pinot?

Pamela Flanagan

Pinot

Originally from Dublin, Pamela studied Theatre, English Literature and Russian at the University of Glasgow before completing an acting post grad at the Academy Drama school in London.  

 

Since graduating she has toured extensively throughout Europe, the UK, and Ireland, playing all the female roles in Two (London Production Co.), Jill in Come on Jeeves (Ian Dickens Productions), Pegeen in The Playboy of the Western World (Coyote Productions), Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra (Dublin Shakespeare Society) and the Provost in Measure for Measure (Fortune’s Fools). She is a frequent collaborator with the Beyond Shakespeare Podcast who specialise in producing full cast audio productions of early English drama, everything but the Bard!  

 Pamela’s previous credits with Unclouded Moon Productions include Aileen in Body and Blood at the Lion and Unicorn, The King’s Head and Liverpool Irish Festival.  

 She learned the art of foley to appear as Sylvia in The Gin Chronicles at Sea at Edinburgh Festival, she also performs stand-up comedy and her immersive work includes playing Blake and Alex in The Stranger Things Experience, many varied characters in murder mystery dinner theatre and Polly at Benjamin Franklin House.  

Neal Craig

Joe

Neal trained at The Manchester School of Theatre (MMU), graduating in 2008. He also works as a writer and stand up comedian and he won a Wanstead Fringe New Comedy Award in 2019. Neal is an Associate Actor and founder member of 1623 Theatre Company.

Lizzie Mounter trained at RADA. Finlay Whitfield

Heckler

Finlay is currently in his final year of actor training at the Arts University Bournemouth. Recent work includes, Spring Awakening as Moritz, Antony and Cleopatra, and Lorenzino in La Casa Nova. Finlay recently wrote, produced and acted in his own short film.

Lorraine Mullaney

Playwright

Lorraine completed an MA in scriptwriting at City University in 2012. Her graduate play, Unclouded Moon, was produced at Brighton Fringe in 2014 and shortlisted for Best New Play. Her second play, Body and Blood, was performed at The Kings Head, Islington and Liverpool Irish Festival in 2017, receiving four-star reviews. Her screenplay, Frankenbear, was shortlisted in Underwire Festival’s script competition in 2017. Her short play Pity Party was broadcast on BBC Radio in 2021.

Deirdre Daly

Director

Deirdre is a theatre director who enjoys directing plays that place women’s stories at the centre of the narrative. Her directing work includes the dark comedy, Boot at the Lion & Unicorn with PigWig Productions and One Minute by Simon Stephens at the Tristan Bates Theatre. Deirdre was associate director on UK tours of Antigone and Lysistrata, and assistant director on Take On Me with Dante or Die, Dr Blighty with Nutkhut in the Brighton Festival, and Home Fires – a site-specific show at Newhaven Fort with Inroad Productions and Zap Arts.  

Frankie Vicente

Set and costume designer

A graduate of Intermediality studies at the University of Edinburgh, Frankie completed research on the interconnection between Theatre and Film through digital platforms and screens within theatre design, distribution, and spectatorship. Concluding that embracing technology presents new possibilities for how we define, engage with and access theatre, Frankie is keen to explore these themes within her production and design work.

Phyllida Hickish

Set and costume designer

Phyllida studied Design at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. 

 Her recent work as a designer has taken her to the Edinburgh Fringe with Babolin Theatre. 

Alongside design, she acts as a Clown, Puppeteer, and Animator, and has recently appeared in the short film: Derelict Musing (2024).

We operate a paperless box office system. You will be emailed a receipt once you have booked in advance. There is no need to print this off, just state your name at the box office on arrival.
