STRING

WRITTEN BY LOU DALTON
DIRECTED BY SOPHIE LEYDON
Queer, electric and utterly fucking heart-breaking.

20-year-old Ash falls in love pretty fucking fast when George moves to her village and starts stacking shelves alongside her. But when Ash tells her new girlfriend a catastrophic lie, the cracks begin to show… and then things turn completely to shit.

String walks the line between reality and fantasy, while asking what happens to the mental health of young people left to fend for themselves. Electric, exciting and utterly fucking heart-breaking, String is an unapologetically queer piece made by and for queer people.

Shortlisted for the Tony Craze Award 2021, and supported by a residency at Theatre Royal Stratford East, String is a work-in-progress. Audiences are encouraged to actively participate in the ongoing development of the piece by filling out a feedback form or sticking around to discuss and feedback post show.
