KEEP OUR CREATIVE HOME THRIVING - SUPPORT OUR ONLINE AUCTION

Please Support Omnibus Theatre’s auction to raise funds for the benefit of our community and residents and the wider London Arts community.

Our History

Omnibus Theatre is an award-winning independent theatre and registered charity, proudly located in the heart of Clapham, London. In 2013, we opened our doors following a seven-year, community-led campaign that saved the historic 1889 Clapham Library. £130,000 was raised and 2,000 volunteers rallied to transform the building into a theatre for all the community. We now offer over 3,000 free arts activities every year and, in 2025, received royal patronage from the Duke of Edinburgh — the only Fringe Theatre in London to do so.

Our Work

Omnibus champions accessible, inclusive, and high-quality performances.

Learning & Participation

Clapham’s affluence masks real inequality. We use the arts to combat food insecurity, isolation, and disconnection. Since 2013, we’ve delivered 157 co-creative projects, reaching over 25,000 people via 30+ school and community partnerships.

SPOTLIGHT ON: ROUTES

Routes is a free holiday theatre programme for 8–11-year-olds eligible for free school meals or pupil premium.

Each year, 120 children receive:

• Creative workshops

• 1,200+ nutritious meals

• A final performance for friends and family

Why it matters

41% of FSM households report food insecurity. Many children face poor nutrition, isolation, and mental health challenges. One-third of 2024’s cohort spoke English as an additional language

Our Response

• Routes bridges the holiday experience gap

• Builds resilience and friendships

• Strengthens community ties

THE ASK

Omnibus Theatre is more than bricks and mortar — it’s a cultural lifeline.

We receive no core funding and have launched an online auction to reach our £100,000 target. Your support will:

• Maintain our historic building

• Keep tickets inclusive

• Fund new writing and emerging talent

• Power outreach and youth programmes

EVERY POUND MATTERS

Your donation keeps the lights on, the stories told, and the community thriving.

Our auction goes live in September, keep an eye on this page for updates.
