Next up it’s Hannah Abraham, our wonderful Hires Manager and Theatre Administrator at Omnibus Theatre. Hannah has let us in on what her typical day looks like and her favorite memories at Omnibus Theatre so far.

OMNIBUS THEATRE: What does a Hires Manager and Theatre Administrator do?
HANNAH ABRAHAM: As Hires Manager I deal with all of the external hires that come into the building (with the help of the Administration Assistant). This entails organising space viewings, negotiating prices, sending out contracts and invoices, and arranging the logistics of every hire that comes through our doors.
OT: Talk us through a typical day of a Theatre Administrator and Hires Manager.
HA: Some days I open the building at 9, so this entails being on the front desk and the first port of call for any early meetings or viewings. As well as putting the Marketing boards outside. Then from 10 I check my emails, ensure the whiteboard in the office is up to date so that everyone know what is going on in the building, and greet any hires/companies who come in. From then on I respond to hires enquiries, and general building enquiries, as well as keeping on top of hires paperwork. I also respond to Box Office emails from Mon-Wed, to deal with any ticket transfers or issues that come up.
OT: What makes Omnibus Theatre unique?
HA: I would say the biggest thing is the team work. I don’t have a lot to do with the Producing side of things so I cannot say much about that, but I know that in terms of office comradery and general supportiveness, we are second to none.
OT: What is your favourite memory of working at Omnibus Theatre so far?
HA: Socially it would be having lunch outside in the sun during Summer. And professionally it would be getting closer and closer to hitting my hires income target.
OT: Who are your theatre heroes?
HA: Idina Menzel and Ruthie Henshall. Musical Theatre is the way to my heart.
