Omnibus Lists | Marcus Brigstocke’s Comedy Picks

Austentatious

I have to say this because my girlfriend created it and is in it. The Jane Austen improv show. I went to see it again last night, it’s so great. It’s on at the Savoy Theatre one Sunday a month and they will be at the Edinburgh Festival then touring in the autumn.

Andrew Maxwell

Pound for pound remains the funniest comedian in the country. I think he’s stunning, just brilliant.

Rob Rouse

He’s supporting me on tour. Rob’s a really good mate and Christ he’s funny. Very different kind of funny from me, but yeah, just brilliantly funny.

The Mash Report

On BBC2. I think it’s brilliant. I think Nish [Kumar] is doing a great job. It’s a really good example of a show which has been allowed to grow. I saw the first series and was like ‘yeah sure okay, that’s alright’ and it’s grown and grown and grown. Nish is better and better and Rachel, my partner, is just fucking amazing on it. The whole cast are really good.
