We sat down with Eleanor Grice, Marketing Assistant at Omnibus Theatre, to learn more about what she gets up to. Find out everything from what the job entails to her favourite memory at Omnibus Theatre so far.
OMNIBUS THEATRE: So, what do you do as a Marketing Assistant?
ELEANOR GRICE: As a Marketing Assistant, it is my job to support Shaun, our Marketing Manager, in promoting programmed productions at Omnibus Theatre. This includes running our social media, managing the website, making sure our front of house displays look 💯, print distribution and loads more.
OT: What is your favourite part about working at Omnibus Theatre?
EG: My favorite part about working at Omnibus Theatre is the people I work with. The team are so creative and fun, and a hugely driven group of people. It’s very motivating. I also love the theatre itself: it runs on a shoestring budget and the team is so small, yet they make such big things happen.
OT: What is the most challenging part about being on the marketing team?
EG: A lot of what we do is so immediately front-facing, there is always something new to produce every day. We can have up to 2o or 30 events in a season. It’s exciting when things get full on.
OT: What do you think makes Omnibus Theatre unique?
EG: The exciting programme, this beautiful old library building rooted in Clapham history, the people. Everyone who works here is really invested in the success of the theatre and the programme.
OT: Do you have a favourite memory of working at Omnibus Theatre so far?
EG: Anytime I’ve caught a show here, seeing a packed theatre and a buzzing bar is always a cool experience. Also one time Molly let me pick her up.
