 A dynamic mix of emerging and established theatre-makers preview their work in Clapham before heading to the largest theatre festival in the world, giving Londoners the chance to experience the best of the Fringe before anyone else. 

Supporting new work and adventurous artists is at the heart of what we do, which is why each year we provide a stage for creators to test out their work ahead of the Fringe. Join us for some unforgettable and affordable theatre.

As she prepares for the audition of a lifetime (playing Anna May Wong, Hollywood’s first East Asian starlet) China Doll must confront and untangle the ingénue’s legacy. A compelling exploration of identity, discrimination, and progress.

A knockout solo show about one woman’s love of pro wrestling. Part confessional, part exuberant oral history of sports entertainment’s greatest matches and most loved characters. Riotously funny, unexpectedly touching, brilliantly human. You will leave a wrestling fan.

Why is the ice melting in the Arctic and where are all the clams? Thor, a young, daring walrus, travels to England to uncover the truth behind climate change, while a satirical news programme reports his progress and other pressing stories.

This year Micky finds her life at the point of no return. It’s too late to change things, no matter how much she wants to, plus she’s too old for the coping mechanisms she had in her 20s (buying a plane ticket and flying away from her problems)

In a closed park at night, a security guard finds a young woman in a ballet dress, making paper swans. In trying to find out what she is doing, he locks them in a continuous never-ending loop.

Escaping the party presents a gruelling choice: endure existential crisis forever? Or learn to stay numb to it all? Combining physical theatre with surrealist horror and cartoon comedy, Birthday Fish asks; are we all out of water?

Join Erika Ehler work out material for her new show. Erika’s razor-sharp, dark and visceral writing paired with precise delivery makes her one of the most exciting young comedians on the circuit.
Erika has also written for Late Night Mash (Dave), Never Mind The Buzzcocks (Sky), Have I Got News For You (BBC1) and Death to 2020 (Netflix).

A new work-in-progress show from the longest reigning Edinburgh Comedy Award winner (2019-2021). Expect the usual mix of stand-up, clowning and utterly stupid ideas presented as if they mean anything.
