Doon Mackichan in conversation with Jenny Landreth

Doon is an actress and writer, known particularly for the double Emmy winning series Smack The Pony, and more recently for the character of Cathy in Two Doors Down ( 6 series on BBC1). She is also about to reprise her role as the Archangel Michael in the third series of Good Omens for Amazon & BBC alongside David Tennant and Michael Sheen.

Doon also starred in Toast of London, for which she received a nomination for Best Actress at the British Comedy Awards and Plebs series 1-4 which won her a nomination for a BAFTA for Best Female Performance In A Comedy

Doon was also part of the groundbreaking team creating The Day Today, Knowing me, knowing you with Alan Partridge and Brasseye

Other credits include Toast of Tinseltown for BBC2, The Duchess for Netflix, Flack for Pop TV, Pure for Channel 4, Ben Wheatley’s feature film, Happy New Year, Colin Burstead, which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and subsequently aired on BBC2, and The Borrowers appearing alongside John Goodman.

In theatre, Doon most recently starred in Bitter Wheat at the Garrick Theatre alongside John Malkovich. Prior to this, Doon starred in the National Theatre’s production of Twelfth Night directed by Simon Godwin. Other credits include Loot at the Tricycle Theatre, The Government Inspector at the Young Vic, The Queen and I, in which she played Princess Diana at the Royal Court in conjunction with Jim Cartwright’s ROAD, before going to Leicester Haymarket. Doon was in the Olivier nominated production of Jumpy for the Royal Court/ Duke of York’s Theatre, for which she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress In A Play at the Whatsonstage.com Awards in 2012. Additionally, Doon appeared in Mother Courage at the National Theatre in the role of Yvette.

Jenny is the author of two non-fiction books: Swell, a Waterbiography, about the history of women’s swimming, and Break A Leg, a celebration of amateur theatre. By day she is a children’s animation writer and story producer, mostly on cbeebies hit show, Hey Duggee. She lives in South London.

We operate a paperless box office system. You will be emailed a receipt once you have booked in advance. There is no need to print this off, just state your name at the box office on arrival.
