Putting the personal on stage.
In this workshop we will talk frankly about the positives and negatives of writing from personal experience. We’ll take a practical look at how to find compelling dramatic and universal narratives and work together to devise self-care plans for approaching this kind of work.
Katie Bonna’s autobiographical show about her relationship with her estranged father, All The Things I Lied About, won the Off West End Award for Most Promising New Playwright in 2018. Her first play Dirty Great Love Story (co-written with Richard Marsh) won a Scotsman Fringe First and transferred to the West End in 2017.
