QUEER DIARY

PRESENTED BY BETH WATSON + JOSEPHINE SHIPP
LGBTQ+ adults read aloud their teenage diaries, poetry & fanfic. Throwback to cringey crushes, earnest angst & GCSE Art.

The night where LGBTQ+ adults read aloud from their REAL teenage diaries, poetry, fanfictions and more!

A handful of brave queer folk take to the mic to re-tell tales from their formative years in the name of nostalgia, solidarity, celebration. Expect a relaxed evening of cringey crushes, earnest angst, GCSE Artwork & a school-disco soundtrack (yes, we’ll be taking requests for your favourite throwback tracks) in the lovely Omnibus Café Bar.

Queer Diary splits all its profits with a local community youth organisation, supporting LGBTQ+ teenagers to have an easier time than we did. For this show we are partnering with Free2B Alliance: a London based community organisation supporting LGBTQ+ young people and their parents. They provide 1:1 and group services in schools and in the community including trans groups, challenge homophobia, biphobia and transphobia and provide LGBTQ+ awareness training to schools and organisations to promote inclusivity. They seek to provide safe spaces and champion empowerment, acceptance and a place where you are Free2B!

Queer Diary is hosted by Beth Watson, who has been running these events regularly on Zoom since April 2020.

Come join us IRL as part of our first ever in-person audience!

This performance will take place with a live audience at Omnibus Theatre.

We are so excited to welcome you back through our doors.
