LIGHTSTREAMS

PRESENTED BY LUMENIS THEATRE
The story of two migrant women living in the UK at the height of a global crisis.

Through an experimental style, Lightstreams tells the story of two migrant women living in the UK: a mother in her 30s who tries to stop her husband from going back to his work as a carer and an elderly woman, a former international spy abandoned in a care home for the elderly.

Lightstreams, supported by Arts Council England, is the first and only play that looks at the experiences of first-generation migrants in the UK and questions the sacrifices and choices frontline workers have made during unprecedented times. This play offers a moving and heartfelt portrayal that brings into focus the issues of migration and displacement in the aftermath of global crises.
