BACK INTO THE WORLD

PRESENTED BY ENGLISH TOURING OPERA
A new musical interactive adventure for 4-8 year olds from English Touring Opera

Follow Lexi who comes from Exie. Life in Exie is by all accounts perfect – just look at the happy-o-meter – but Lexi yearns for adventure.

When a horrible noise troubles the town of Exie the happy-o-meter plummets, so Lexi sets off on her adventure to save the town and learn more about herself and others along the way.

She meets the nonsense-talking Wee-Whys, the wise and wonderful Everywhere, and learns how working together through music can save the day and turn the nasty noise into something beautiful.

Created in response to many of the challenges faced during the past year: missing friends, increased anxiety, disruptions to learning, challenges understanding emotions and isolation, Back Into The World takes children on an interactive, participatory adventure making music together, exploring friendship, sharing, teamwork and diversity, and discovering the natural world.

This new commission is composed by Alex Groves, written and directed by Rebecca Hanbury and designed by Rebecca Wood.

This performance will take place with a live audience at Omnibus Theatre.

We are so excited to welcome you back through our doors.

We understand that booking tickets for live events right now feels like a bit of a gamble.

We want to assure you that should you be unable to attend an event due to an isolation order or exhibiting symptoms of Covid-19, or should we have to cancel an event, we will be happy to offer a full refund.

To keep you safe, our Covid-19 safety measure will still be in effect after 19 July. Please check out our Covid-19 Safety FAQs for full information on what to expect and how to prepare for your visit.
