The daughter and her mother recorded these conversations for posterity. “a difficult but necessary conversation with my mother before I cut her out of my life forever” is an enticing, heartfelt and confronting piece of theatre, one that seeks to explore the relationship between first time mothers and their first-time daughters, hoping to provide solace, hope, and resonance to parents of Trans+ children, and to those Trans+ children themselves.
